That’s a Wrap

Finished my first season of club racing, with three weekends under my belt, COTA, Barber, and Road America. I learned a lot, still trying to wrap my head around the whole thing. To be anywhere near competitive you have to have an amazing team, and be ridiculously well prepared. Our most recent race at Road America was incredible, I brought Chris, and LeAnn up with me, and we had the extreme pleasure of working with Andy from Bilt Racing Services (BRS). He helped us setup the car, get everything organized for tools, spares. We now have the fundamentals in place for an incredible track-side support experience. We spent the first day together doing all of the nut, and bolt race prep, and car setup, I learned how to do  the whole setup procedure from setting the ride height, to adjusting toe using smart strings.

We then headed to Autobahn for a shakedown the car felt incredibly dialed in, I was very confident taking it to the limit, and beyond. We then packed up, and made the trek to Road America, stopping in Milwaukee for the night. We did the test/tune on Friday, ran practice on Saturday, the two sprint races on Sunday, and back home on Monday, it was a long trip. Over the course of the weekend, I had a few issues which we were able to sort out track side.

In the second sprint on Sunday, I ended up in the tire wall, because of some bad decision making on my part. The car needs a little work to get it ready for next season. I am grateful to have such incredible help from both TPWS, and BRS.
